Duties and Responsibilies:
· Fully understand and catch up with Tonik’s capabilities, strengths and business developments to identify potential area of future growth both in and outside of the Philippines
· Help the team keep updated on key regulatory changes, rumors on divestitures, competitors’ strategic developments etc. to capture potential entry/investment ideas/opportunities in relevant business fields
· For identified area of business, assist the team in driving growth strategy by undertaking activities including followings:
Gauging potential market size by going through macro data and various statistics
Analyzing competitive landscape, i.e. identify visible & potential competitors, assess their strengths and weaknesses, and forecast their future strategic trajectories
Gathering information on and analyzing changes in regulatory environment, especially focusing on banking/financial regulations
Creating potential go-to-market strategy. It involves setting target customer persona; identifying their pain points; designing product parameters to introduce; and determining mode of entry, i.e. organic build, partnership, investment/acquisition, etc.
Developing financial projections given market environment and go-to-market strategy
Preparing and delivering reports of aforementioned tasks to various internal & external stakeholders
Executing entry through acquisition of relevant license, investment into/acquisition of existing operating entity, or other possible means
Liaising with, if any, third party service providers such as legal/financial advisors in promoting aforementioned tasks
Any other duties commensurate with the role.
Reports to the Chief Product Officer.
End to end Product Management – from Kickoff to Launch to Operations
Serves as the product expert. Combines industry analysis, extensive market research, and customer feedback to develop competitive banking products, particularly revolving credit line, bills pay and digital goods, remittance and early wage access loan products.
Monitors the market for competition activity, pricing changes, and other market trends.
Researches on new trends, and shares acquired knowledge with the team. Initiates new ideas.
Writes product requirements and descriptions, and develops the corresponding processes for the products with the Operations and IT teams. Ensures to bring customers’ perspectives in the development of the processes, and advocates customers’ needs and interests.
Tracks sales results of each product. Cooperates with Sales team on improving business results, and identifying opportunities for marketing the developed products.
Creates materials, agreements, questionnaires, instructions, and other documents required for successful product implementation.
Develops joint marketing campaigns with international payment systems. Creates customer-oriented content and materials describing the products, and cooperates with the creative team to align content with brand strategy for successful launch and promotion.
Supports app development (content-wise), and works together with the UX/UI team to deliver product visions and customer insights for products within the app.
Leads, identifies, and works on partnership strategy and execution that will help improve the products
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Banking, Finance, or other similar fields.
At least 5 years’ experience in banking and financial services. At least 2 years’ experience in developing related banking products from scratch. At least 2 years’ experience working with international payment systems. Understanding of the payments market and corresponding customer behaviors.
Experience on development of banking product such as revolving credit line, bills pay, digital goods, remittance and early wage access loan products is preferred.
Experience in launching such products in a digital space (e.g. app).
Above average verbal and written communication skills, particularly in English.
Able to communicate complex concepts persuasively to different audiences and levels within the organization.
Responsible, self-motivated, must be capable of and enjoy working independently, driving decisions and having an entrepreneurial mindset.
