The impact you will have in this role:
As a member of United Application Support (UAS) team, the Associate Application Support Engineer role will be implementing all aspects of the operating procedures/runbooks within a predefined shift pattern. This role is expected to work closely with the required application teams, development teams, our infrastructure partners, and our internal business clients to resolve and advance technical support incidents where necessary.
Your Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide first level monitoring support for DTCC's applications for Production and Problem Solving Environment/User Acceptance Test environments including client facing applications.
- Provide 24x7 support for event monitoring, alert triage, and incident critical issue within the SLA.
- Identify and implement efficiencies and improvements to standard processes and procedures such as automation through scripting, programming, etc.
- Identify issues without knowledge articles and work with its respective application group to create the article as needed.
- Contribute to projects by completing task work and ensuring Production Readiness guidelines are met.
- Client support team engagement to assist with application related incidents, client testing and integrations.
- Aligns risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk and advances appropriately.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred
- Minimum of 2-3 years in Application support role or related experience.
- Amenable to work APAC/EMEA Shift
- Should be willing to work in rotational shifts which may include holidays/weekends.
Talents Needed for Success:
- Familiarity with application monitoring tools, incident management systems, and ticketing platform such as ServiceNow.
- Knowledgeable in ITIL practice or having ITIL certification is a plus.
- Experienced in Distributed Platform: Red hat Linux and Windows.
- Knowledgeable in any of the following technologies and tools.
- Database administration – Oracle, MS SQL, DB2, and Autosys
- Cloud Computing – AWS, CloudWatch, Postgress, and OpenShift
- Middleware application administration/Support - WebSphere, Apache, Tomcat, Java, MQ
- Basic Mainframe knowledge
- API Technologies - JSON and Splunk.
- Should be willing to learn different businesses of DTCC’s application.
- Candidate should have excellent communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to quickly assess and prioritize issues in a high-pressure environment.
