The Assistant HR Officer is
dedicated to implement exciting employee engagement activities for the company.
He/she is responsible for the
creation and execution of employee engagement campaigns to promote positive
organizational culture. The function will include conceptualizing and
recommending employee engagement activities and all aspects of company events
from conception to completion and other HR relevant tasks as assigned by the
management.
1. Leads in developing
strategies, budgeting, and initiatives to promote and achieve a culture of
excellence and employee engagement.
2. Leads
in the development, facilitation, delivery and execution of the organization’s
calendar of activities such as Birthdays, Anniversaries, Monthly or Quarterly
Events, Community Service, Company Team Building and other morale building
activities.
3. Interact and collaborate
effectively and positively with individuals of all levels of the organization,
including the employees
themselves to ensure the organization is showing appreciation and recognition
for its employees.
4. Assists the HR Shore Manager/Officer in administrative duties about recruitment and selection practices, employment contracts, training,
and performance management.
5. Creates, maintains and
updates the HR department archives and personnel databases (such as medical,
insurance, annual leave schedules, certificates, job profiles etc.),
contributing to the effective use of information for accurate decision-making
on personnel issues of the company.
6. Gathers all payroll related
information from SMC’s Departments (timesheets, overtime, annual, emergency,
special & sick leaves.), updates the relevant database and forwards them to the relevant department for the execution of the payroll.
7. Assists the HR Shore Manager/Officer in the production of data and statistics by group HRS.
Requirements
Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s
degree relevant to the job, (Communication Arts, Human Resources Management or
Psychology is preferred)
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Strong writing, public speaking and moderation/facilitation
skills
Work Experience:
- 1-2 years in a relevant position.

- With basic experience of event
planning/management
- Experience and knowledge of patient and public
involvement and engagement
