We are seeking a dynamic, passionate and driven professional to manage our cross-geography and multi-currency finance function in the Philippines.  This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded company with an exceptional culture and take your career to the next level!



In this role, you will join the Yempo administration team to lead our finance function. You will be tasked with overseeing 1 senior staff member and ensuring all aspects of financial management are undertaken accurately and in a timely manner, while also providing financial support to the company directors.  The position offers scope to expand leadership responsibilities as the company grows.


 


Your Responsibilities



  • Overseeing 1 senior finance staff member in the daily execution of their duties; be able to manage, guide and lead to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used

  • Provide finance support to the company directors.

  • Provision of sound, timely management information for the company, monitoring of bank balances, cash on hand, and statutory financial reporting.

  • Handles full set of books of accounts including analysis thereof.

  • Liaise with banks for all banking requirements required by the Company.

  • Able to handle BIR audits.

  • In-charge of annual renewals and licensing with local government units.

  • Periodic audit of internal practices to ensure sound financial governance.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement them after appropriate stakeholder engagement

  • Create, update and maintain process documentation for the entire Finance function


 


Your Background



  • Qualified accountant; licensed CPA or similar

  • Experience managing a small team

  • Sound business acumen with the ability to work under pressure to agreed deadlines

  • Good business reporting skills with a very high level of Excel literacy

  • Knowledgeable in different accounting software including MS Business Central and QuickBooks.

  • Knowledgeable of consolidation of accounts in a multi-currency environment.

  • More than 8 years finance and accounting experience

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a senior finance role.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Exceptional written and spoken English

  • Professional, flexible, highly motivated and organized

  • Strong problem-solving skills with ability to show initiative, ability to organise & prioritise tasks

  • Open, collaborative and proactive leadership style
