Senior Test Engineer

Experience/Skill:
1. 6+ years of experience in the overall SDLC with focus on QA with involvement on complex testing processes
2. Strong test management skills – should have experience in leading and managing testing and quality assurance activities at least for two or more projects.
Knowledge/Skill:
1. Strong knowledge of Software QA methodologies, tools, and processes with proven experience in handling and involvement on complex integration projects.
2. Knowledgeable in using JIRA as Defect Management tool and JIRA Xray as Test Management tool.
3. Background in the Insurance industry is a plus.
4. Knowledge in automation using tools such as Selenium or Cucumber is a plus.

1. Ensure the software being developed meets the standards and requirements by designing and creating comprehensive test procedures, scenarios, and cases in alignment to the Test Plan and Strategy covering the test methodologies needed as per project requirements.
2. Test Execution covering the requirements, documentation of test results and evidence; providing recommendations for improvement if applicable.
3. Test Management – ensure the test documents are up-to-date.
4. Defect management – document all issues encountered with complete details in JIRA. Track the progress for the reported issues.
5. Work closely with the BA and Developers to ensure the alignment of project delivery and testing goals, as well as close coordination when issues are encountered.
6. Test Reporting – make sure the progress is cascaded to all stakeholders.
7. Mentor the Junior QAs in their tasks and provide help if needed.
