Staff Accountant - General Ledger

The Staff Accountant will understand GAAP and be able assist with month-end close processing. He or she will have general knowledge of all accounting processes related to A/P, A/R, cash deposits, cash disbursements, and general ledger accounting.

Supreme Foods is a QSR franchisee located in Mayfield, KY. We currently own and operate over 30 restaurants in 4 states. We are in a rapid growth period with many more locations opening by the end of the fiscal year.

Job Description:

• Work with the team to process month-end and year-end close.

• Assist in the preparation of the monthly consolidated Financial Statements

• Prepare and post Journal Entries for both daily activity and monthly closing

• Reconcile Balance Sheet Accounts to the general ledger

• Bank Reconciliation of 100 accounts every month.

• Maintain and update accounting records and files

• Support all day-to-day accounting functions.

• Complete financial reporting on deliverables

• Ad-Hoc reporting as needed

• General Ledger experience

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Detailed oriented
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Sage Intact experience

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

• 2 + years of accounting experience required

Salary: $1100-$1300
