As a Business Analyst (API Integration), you will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing API solutions that enhance our business operations. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements, document specifications, and ensure seamless integration of APIs into our systems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements related to API integration.
Conduct interviews, workshops, and meetings to understand and document detailed functional and technical requirements.
Design and document API specifications, including endpoints, data models, and authentication methods.
Create detailed API documentation to ensure clear communication between developers, stakeholders, and external partners.
Analyze existing systems and workflows to identify opportunities for API integration and process improvement.
Map out data flows and processes to ensure efficient and accurate API interactions.
Lead API integration projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, and business stakeholders, to ensure successful project execution.
Develop and execute test plans to validate API functionality, performance, and security.
Work with QA teams to ensure comprehensive testing and issue resolution.
Monitor API performance and usage, identifying areas for optimization and enhancement.
Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to recommend innovative solutions for API integration.
Provide training and support to internal teams and external partners on API usage and best practices.
Troubleshoot and resolve API-related issues and provide ongoing support as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
At least 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on API integration and
management.
Project management experience is a plus.
Strong understanding of API design principles, RESTful APIs, and web services.
Proficiency in API documentation tools such as Swagger, Postman, or similar.
Experience with API testing and validation frameworks.
