• Execute financial closing procedures on time, including preparing month-end journals
  
• Balance sheet preparation, reconciliation, pre-payment amortization, corporate credit card accruals, balance sheet analysis and commentary, expense analysis, monitoring the aging of account balances
  
• Review and approve customer/vendor master data bank details
  
• Monthly Subledger management in NetSuite
  
• Assist in Fixed asset quarterly reviews
  
• Preparation of monthly and quarterly reports
  
• Ensure all processes comply with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) regulations and assist with SOX internal controls testing as needed
  
• Preparation of annual US tax schedules
  
• Liaise with both external and internal auditors
  
• Support business initiatives and integrations
  
• Document processes and seek process improvements by preparing and updating documentation for key month-end close activities
  

Requirements

Essentials for Success:

• 1 - 3 years of relevant working experience.
  
• Must have experience with Australian companies.
  
• Must be a CPA.
  
• Relevant financial accounting experience in a junior/assistant accountant role, including using accounting software, recording journal entries, and preparing balance sheet reconciliations.
  
• Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  
• Proficient in accounting software (experience using NetSuite would be highly regarded but not essential)
  
• Sound knowledge of accounting principles
  
• Great time management and prioritization skills
  
• Keen to details
  
• Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
  
• Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Excel
  
• Work productively in a fast paced and agile environment
  
• Team player with a positive attitude
