Design Engineer

Key Accountabilities:  Prepare electrical design calculations and design-support documents, including lighting calculations, junction box sizing, MCT design, and other related electrical design tasks.  Prepare and update reference drawings, layout drawings, product drawings, 2D drawings, 3D design documentation, as-built mark-ups, and revision updates in accordance with project requirements.  Develop electrical design deliverables based on project specifications, client requirements, vendor information, principal documents, and internal engineering instructions.  Ensure design deliverables are accurate, complete, properly coordinated, and submitted for senior review where required.  Coordinate with vendors, principals, clients, project engineers, CAD drafters, lighting designers, sales teams, and others to clarify requirements and resolve technical comments.  Support inside sales and outside sales in preparing technically correct product proposals, compliance statements, quotation drawings, and technical clarifications.  Review vendor documents, product data sheets, technical drawings, and catalogue information to support correct product selection and proposal preparation.  Maintain proper records of design changes, drawing revisions, approvals, client comments, vendor inputs, technical correspondence, and design assumptions.  Identify and highlight missing information, technical discrepancies, design risks, and potential deviations to senior personnel before submission or finalization.
