As a Finance Associate, you will be a technical analyst enabling Hiveβs strategic objectives focusing on special projects, reporting, and analysis functions. This role involves close collaboration with leads, other finance teams, and data and product teams to improve the company's financial state continuously. You are an individual contributor deeply involved in the company's direction, specializing in analysis and strategy.
Responsibilities
Financial Analysis and Forecasting
Assist in creating financial forecasts, including projections for revenue, expenses, and cash flow
Analyze financial trends and data to support strategic decision-making and long-term planning
Budgeting and Planning
Collaborate with departments to track and manage budgets, ensuring alignment with financial objectives
Help prepare annual budgets and perform variance analysis to monitor and control expenditures
Cost Management and Efficiency
Monitor and analyze departmental spending to ensure cost-efficiency and adherence to budgets
Identify opportunities for cost-savings and recommend improvements to enhance financial performance
Process business transactions, and verify financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable records
Investment and Cash Flow Management
Support cash flow management and liquidity planning, advising on optimal fund allocation
Assist in evaluating investment opportunities and performing financial due diligence
Financial Reporting and Support
Contribute to the preparation of management reports focusing on financial performance and strategic insights
Provide data for financial reviews and support senior finance leadership in decision-making
Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with local tax laws and regulations
Assist in tax planning and forecasting to optimize the company's tax position
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work with internal teams to provide financial insights and support cross-functional projects related to financial strategy

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or equivalent field
Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent
At least 3 years of relevant experience in finance operations, accounting, or taxation
Tech-savvy and proficient with Microsoft Excel
Strong understanding of accounting principles and working tax regulations in the Philippines
High attention to detail and excited to learn new skills and tools
Knowledge of and experience in Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs), healthcare, insurance, or financial services industry, is a plus!
