Finance Manager

Job Summary:

The Finance Manager will oversee the company’s tax reporting and compliance obligations. This includes managing tax filings, identifying potential tax savings, and ensuring compliance with local tax laws and regulations. The Tax Manager will also provide tax planning and advisory services to optimize the company’s tax position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Tax Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns (income tax, VAT, withholding taxes, etc.) in compliance with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and other government agencies.
• Tax Planning: Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize tax savings.
• Tax Audits: Lead tax audits and coordinate with external tax consultants or auditors when necessary.
• Risk Management: Identify tax risks and provide recommendations to mitigate potential issues.
• Tax Research: Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations, and analyze their impact on the organization.
• Advisory: Provide guidance on tax implications of business decisions and transactions.
• Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports to management regarding the company’s tax position.
• Team Management: Supervise and mentor junior tax staff, providing them with guidance on tax issues and professional development.
• Bookkeeping: Processing of payments and bookkeeping.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is preferred.
• Experience: At least 5-7 years of relevant tax experience. Experience in tax planning and handling BIR audits is an advantage.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of Philippine tax laws and BIR regulations. Familiarity with international tax laws is a plus.
• Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks. Strong communication and leadership skills.
