• Prepare monthly management reports, perform variance analysis, and create business narratives
  
• Execute financial closing procedures promptly, including preparing month-end journals
  
• Prepare and govern monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  
• Liaise with both external and internal auditors
  
• Ensure all processes comply with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements and assist with SOX internal controls testing as needed
  
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reports
  
• Facilitate quarterly capitalization review meetings, including detailed analysis and reporting of capitalization costs
  
• Provide input for periodic forecasting and annual budget cycles
  
• Support the business with project initiatives and business integrations
  
• Document and improve processes by preparing and updating process documentation for key month-end close activities
  

Requirements

The Perfect Fit:

• At least 3 years of relevant experience
  
• Must be a CPA with experience in an Australian company.
  
• Alternatively, must be a CPA with non-Australian experience from one of the Big 4 firms.
  
• Have relevant financial accounting experience in month-end closing, journal execution, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  
• Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  
• Proficiency in accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, and QuickBooks
  
• Experience working with auditors
  
• Strong financial accounting background preferred
  
• Relevant experience in tax preparation, GST preparation, income tax, and journal posting
  
• Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
  
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Excel
