DescriptionWe are looking for a meticulous and experienced General Accountant with strong bookkeeping skills and proficiency in QuickBooks. The ideal candidate will handle the full cycle of accounting processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial standards.
This role requires a thorough understanding of bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and financial reporting, with the ability to manage daily financial operations in QuickBooks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
● General Accounting:
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date.
● Bookkeeping:
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including bank reconciliations, accounts payable (AP), and accounts receivable (AR).
- Record financial transactions and ensure they are posted accurately into QuickBooks.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records for all business transactions.
● QuickBooks Management:
- Maintain QuickBooks software to manage all financial data and reporting.
- Create, send, and monitor invoices using QuickBooks.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts in QuickBooks on monthly basis.
- Generate QuickBooks reports for management and audit purposes.
● Financial Analysis & Reporting:
- Provide detailed financial reports and insights to the finance manager and senior leadership.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to support business decision-making.
● Tax Compliance:
- Assist with the preparation of tax filings and ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Coordinate with external auditors or tax consultants as needed.
● Process Improvement:
- Identify areas for financial process improvements and implement best practices.
- Ensure internal controls are adhered to and maintained to safeguard company assets.
Requirements● Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
● Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation (preferred but not required).
● Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting and bookkeeping experience.
- Proven experience using QuickBooks (minimum of 2 years).
● Skills:
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and accounting practices.
- Proficiency in using accounting software, especially QuickBooks.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
● Soft Skills:
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
