About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced General Ledger Supervisor to oversee GL operations for South East Asia (SEA) countries. The role ensures timely, accurate, and seamless support for end-to-end general ledger activities, including journals, adjustments, profitability analysis, and balance sheet reconciliation. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, leadership abilities, and experience in finance operations within a global shared services environment.


Key Responsibilities:
 

● Oversee monthly financial closing activities and maintain accurate accounting records for SEA countries.
 

● Review work from RTR Analysts, including journal entries, P&L analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations.
● Collaborate with regional stakeholders to ensure accruals are justified and properly posted.
● Perform trend analysis and respond to corporate or regional queries regarding financial performance.
● Monitor clearance of aged balance sheet items and research complex discrepancies.
● Prepare monthly management reports, quarterly reports, and yearly statutory accounts.
● Support, coach, and provide guidance to staff while promoting continuous process improvements.
● Participate in IT projects for system changes or enhancements as needed.
● Ensure backup plans for team members are in place and provide task support when required.


Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy/Finance or relevant professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, etc.).
● 4–5 years of experience in Record to Report, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
● Experience in Global Finance Shared Services or logistics industry is preferred.
● Good knowledge of IFRS, tax rules, and financial reporting requirements.
● Strong interpersonal and communication skills (English) and ability to work under pressure.
● Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced with SAP or other ERP accounting systems.
● Analytical, organized, and able to manage high-volume transactions with attention to detail.
