About the Company: Coaxion Radiology is a leading provider of diagnostic imaging services, serving hospitals and healthcare facilities nationwide. As part of our commitment to providing excellent support, we are looking for a Health Information Management Specialist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Complete Documentation: Review patient records and radiology reports to identify any missing, ambiguous, or contradictory information. Communicate with physicians and providers to correct and finalize documentation.
  • Coordinate Claims Process: Liaise with the billing company and ensure all required information is gathered and provided for smooth claim submissions.
  • Real-Time Provider Support: Offer feedback to radiologists and other providers on proper coding and documentation of services performed, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Reconcile Records: Match hospital census data with charge capture records at the patient level to ensure accurate billing.
  • HIPAA Compliance: Ensure that all health information management activities adhere to legal and regulatory guidelines, especially the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
  • Collaborate with Team Members: Maintain positive working relationships with clinical staff, radiologists, and administrative personnel to support the workflow.


Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management or a related field preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in healthcare documentation, coding, or a related area.
  • Familiarity with radiology and diagnostic imaging terminology is a strong plus.
  • Experience working with healthcare information systems such as OnePacs or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of coding standards (CPT, ICD-10) and medical record documentation requirements.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Certification from AHIMA or AAPC is preferred (e.g., RHIT, CPC).

Salary: $800-$1100 USD
