Job Description

Reports directly to the Business Director and coordinates with the Administration Head for schedules and proposal reviews.

Qualifications

Primary Responsibilities    

  • Responsible for planning for and leading the audit team in performing and completing the third party audit cycle, reviewing and approving the desk study of auditors under training or supervision and the audit reports, and reviewing proposals to clients. 
  • Also responsible for conducting specific training programs and providing assistance in marketing the division’s services to clients and training auditors.
  • Serve as the official Technical Liaison Officer (TLO) of SGS Philippines, Inc. for IATF
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance to the rulings and regulations of IATF

Specific Responsibilities   

Plans and leads the conduct of the whole audit cycle in accordance with the Knowledge Global Procedures, ISO Guide 62 (QMS) and ISO Guide 66 (EMS) and company documented procedures.

  • Prepares the audit plan including review of proposal worksheet and capability.
  • Conducts desk study of the client’s quality management system (or EMS or SA, etc).
  • Prepares checklist and itinerary as guide during audit.
  • Conducts/leads audit on site according to procedures.
  • Checks the audit package prepared by another or junior auditor (must for main assessments).
  • Communicates with or attends to client inquiries related to their quality management system (or

            EMS, SA, SQF, OHSAS or standards where they had been qualified to).

    • Conducts pre-renewal visits.
  • Reviews and customizes training materials, when needed, and conducts training on specific programs where they been qualified to.
  • Maintains and expands business with assigned accounts.
  • Assists marketing executives during client visits or calls.
  • Trains auditors working for their registration.
  • Performs other related duties as may be assigned either in support of departmental goal or for his/her personal or professional training, education or development as programmed by his/her immediate superior.
  • Reviews non-conformances or findings of auditors and raise own findings during the closing meeting.
  • Reviews and approves outputs of auditors under training/supervision, audit reports and proposal worksheet and capability.
  • Ensures compliance to the Group and national policies including but not limited to the maintenance of the Quality Management System.
  • Operating to the highest standards of ethics, in accordance with the SGS Code of Integrity.
  • Complies with the Quality, Health and Safety, Environment and Energy (QHSEE) policies and supporting objectives including, but not limited to:
  • Demonstrates strong commitment to SGS QHSEE policies, procedures and work instructions by actively participating in     meetings, projects and events, completes required training, intervenes in unsafe situations, refuses unsafe work, and complies fully with all applicable laws and regulations related to HSEE
  • Responds appropriately and immediately to emergency situations and assists other staff members in maintaining readiness to respond to emergencies within the workplace
  • Disposes or directs the disposal of waste generated as a part of daily work performed in a safe manner and in compliance with the disposal regulations and requirements, and in accordance with SGS Environmental Management System requirements
  • Reports all incidents, including near misses and hazards, that may affect the achievement of QHSEE objectives in accordance with SGS Incident Reporting and Management requirements
  • Efficiently uses all equipment, including safety equipment, and company owned property in the manner intended and reports any damaged / lost equipment to immediate superior
  • Maintains a safe and tidy worksite according to the organization’s 5S program and guidelines
  • Maintains awareness of the safety and health related hazards and environmental aspects and proposes action plans to control the risks to immediate superior or QHSEE Coordinators
  • Actively participates in incident investigations and risk assessments as deemed necessary by SGS management
  • Fulfills the requirements needed in the success of the QHSEE Management System
  • Recognizes the potential consequences of not following the established policies, procedures, and guidelines, including not fulfilling the organization’s compliance obligations

Additional Information

  • College degree as determined by the industry requirements, passed RLA requirements

Required Skills

Experience/Technical Knowledge

  • Minimum 4 years experience in specific industry with 2 years of which in quality assurance or quality control.
  • Communication skills, computer literate, meets IRCA requirements for RLA

Language

  • Fluent in English (both written and verbal).
  • Knowledge in other foreign language is an advantage.
