Duties & Responsibilities:

Inventory Control:

  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure sufficient stock while minimizing excess or obsolete inventory.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Implement and maintain inventory control systems and procedures.

Forecasting and Planning:

  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and procurement teams to forecast demand and plan inventory accordingly.
  • Analyze historical data and market trends to predict future inventory needs.
  • Supplier Coordination:
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Negotiate terms and agreements with suppliers to optimize cost and delivery schedules.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare and present inventory reports, including turnover rates, stock levels, and variance analyses.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency.
  • Identify and resolve any issues related to inventory management processes.

Team Management:

  • Supervise and train inventory staff, including setting goals, providing feedback, and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations regarding inventory management.
  • Implement and enforce safety and security measures for inventory storage and handling.


Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. (Master’s degree or relevant certification is a plus.)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in inventory management or a related role.
  • Experience with inventory management software and systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) is highly desirable.
  • Experience in handling a team or a department
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of inventory management principles, supply chain processes, and best practices.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to inventory and procurement.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and demands.

Advantageous but not required:

  • Experience in a related industry
