About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IT Analyst (Governance) to join our team. This role involves supporting the organizationβs IT governance framework, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and fostering accountability and transparency in IT operations. The ideal candidate will assist in developing policies, monitoring compliance, and optimizing IT processes to maintain a robust governance structure.
Key Responsibilities:
IT Governance Framework
- Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of IT governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
- Ensure IT processes and systems align with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor compliance with governance policies and recommend corrective actions as needed.
Policy Development and Documentation
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and updating IT governance policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation to support governance processes and audits.
Compliance Monitoring and Reporting
- Track and assess compliance with internal IT policies and external regulations.
- Prepare and deliver reports on IT governance metrics to stakeholders.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors for IT governance-related reviews.
Risk Assessment and Mitigation
- Identify, analyze, and evaluate risks associated with IT systems and processes.
- Recommend and implement risk mitigation strategies in collaboration with IT and business teams.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a liaison between IT, business units, and leadership to ensure governance objectives are understood and met.
- Provide training and guidance to teams on governance policies and best practices.
Requirements Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: Bachelorβs degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in IT governance, risk management, or compliance.
- Familiarity with governance frameworks such as COBIT, ITIL, or NIST.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in governance tools and technologies (e.g., GRC platforms).
- Understanding of IT systems, processes, and architecture.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR).
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and manage multiple priorities.
- Certifications (preferred):
- Certified in Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT).
- Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
- ITIL Foundation Certification.
