About the Role:
You will be working in a new cross-functional team, using agile methodologies to build applications and services for the financial services industry. You will contribute to overall CI/CD and ensure quality is maintained through early and frequent use of both manual and automated testing.
Job Duties in Brief:
- Participate and contribute on all team activities such as sprint planning, daily scrums and retrospectives
- Work closely with other developers and product owners to deliver solutions with high quality
- Plan, create and execute test cases applicable to user stories to ensure coverage of sprint / project objective
- Thoroughly test products within Sprints (where applicable)
- Build and execute automated system and performance tests for APIs and web applications
- Be comfortable with different testing tool frameworks and different languages such as Python and Javascript
- Integrate testing into the CI/CD pipeline
- Help determine and then ensure agreed upon test metrics are met
- Perform reviews and ensure the quality of the team’s work
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in test automation
- 3+ year of experience testing in an agile cross-functional team
- 3+ years of experience working with Node and/or Python
- Experienced with API testing
- Experience with Cypress and/or Playwright is an asset
- Proficiency in programming in languages such as Javascript and Python.
- Experience with Git is required
- Overall experience with REST, messaging and relational databases
- Familiarity with Project Management and Test Management tools such as JIRA and Xray
- Must be self-motivated and driven, with demonstrated knowledge and skills in: Creativity, technical analysis, problem solving, communication and client service
- Experience with AWS is an added advantage
- Experience in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Code Pipeline would have preference
- Excellent written and verbal communication, must be able to convey information clear and concisely in a team setting
- Willingness to learn new skills and to contribute to a team culture centred on continuous improvement
- Must be able to effectively manage multiple projects with competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
