Junior Staff Accountant

As VIKAND positions itself for long-term growth, we are currently seeking a self-starter to join us in the position of JR. STAFF ACCOUNTANT in our office in Manila.

The Jr. Staff Accountant position will report to the Manager, Finance and work closely with the finance team and operations personnel to handle day-to-day accounting tasks, mainly focused on general accounting.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities
• Assist with preparing monthly and quarterly invoices for customers based on services provided or goods rendered
• Reconcile general ledger accounts assigned with the general ledger
• Match invoices to purchase orders and enter invoices into the system
• Ensure all payments from customers are properly applied correctly to invoices
• Create and journalize assigned journal entries
• Reconcile bank and credit card accunts
• Assist with the processing of Philippines accounts payable and payroll
• Secure proper documentation of all AP transactions
• Accounts payable processing

Experience Required

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Good knowledge of U.S. GAAP (IFRS a pls)
• 2+ years accounting experience
• Previous experience with QuickBooks and / or Microsoft Dynamics
• Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Self-starter, ability to work independently, function with little supervision and work cooperatively with the head office in Florida
• Detail and deadline oriented
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and complete them on a timely basis
