As a Medical Transcriptionist, you’ll play a crucial role in documenting healthcare information accurately and efficiently, ensuring that patient records are up-to-date and properly maintained.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Transcribe medical reports, summaries, and physician notes with precision and attention to detail
- Review and edit transcripts to ensure accurate medical terminology and formatting
- Input patient information into multiple EHR and EMR systems promptly and accurately
- Ensure all documentation complies with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality guidelines
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify any unclear information
- Maintain a high level of transcription speed while ensuring accuracy
- Keep records organized and up-to-date, ensuring easy access for healthcare teams
- Communicate effectively with physicians and staff when needed to ensure clarity in transcriptions
RequirementsWhat We're Looking For:
- Proven experience as a Medical Transcriptionist
- Familiarity with a range of EHR and EMR systems
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and the importance of confidentiality
- Fast typing skills (minimum typing speed of 35 wpm preferred)
- Excellent verbal communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage time effectively and work independently in a remote environment
- Availability to work in US business hours
- Own a Laptop or Desktop with 8GB RAM, Core i5 or above, and Microsoft Office. Plus, a reliable internet connection (at least 10 Mbps).
