Admin Duties

  • Update CRM with company/customer details
  • Coordinate projects
  • Communicate with customers
  • Provide Level 1 & 2 Help Desk support, including escalations
  • Offer telephone support and customer service
  • Manage tickets and escalate to vendors & suppliers

Technical Duties

  • Configure networks (Routing/Switching/WiFi)
  • Configure network security (Firewall policies)
  • Troubleshoot network issues
  • Perform speed tests, and monitor latency and jitter
  • Monitor and respond to network events and alerts
  • Escalate issues to vendors
  • Manage fault resolution
  • Conduct remote sessions with customers, vendors, and carriers for troubleshooting
  • Escalate carrier outages
  • Communicate outages to customers—written and verbal

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Manage service desk and customer communications
  • Administer customer networks, including moves, adds, and changes
  • Administer customer IP telephony environments, including moves, adds, and changes
  • Support customer networks and troubleshoot network faults
  • Support customer IP telephony networks and troubleshoot voice service incidents
  • Manage tickets, including vendor & supplier escalations
  • Respond to network events and alerts
  • Communicate outages to customers—written and verbal

Requirements

Crafting Excellence: Your Key Attributes

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • ITIL and IT Service Management certification
  • Networking certification with Cisco or Juniper (e.g., CCNA, CCNE)
  • Prior experience in telecommunications or with a service provider (highly desirable)
  • Awareness of IT Service Management/ITIL (highly desirable)
  • Mandatory: Experience in internet and VoIP support
  • Mandatory: Networking certification with Cisco or Juniper (e.g., CCNA, CCNE)
  • Experience with Cradlepoint CPE (highly desirable)
  • Experience with SD-WAN, cloud, and virtualization technologies (highly desirable)
  • Experience with security and firewall vendors (highly desirable)
  • Experience with telephone/VoIP systems (highly desirable)
  • Level 2 support capabilities for internet/VoIP (highly desirable)
  • Experience creating and maintaining wikis and support documentation
