Role Overview and Objectives

The Practice Lead – Resource Management is responsible for establishing and managing effective resource management practices and processes that increase productivity and utilisation. This role activates the day-to-day operations to ensure we maximise business performance and deliver on our talent commitment through proactive talent pool management.

 

Role Responsibilities

The Practice Lead – Resource Management is responsible for (but not limited to):

  • Establish and manage best practice resource management methods and processes that are fit for purpose across all service lines within Managed Operations:

•          Single point of accountability to plan, manage and allocate resources (technical and functional personnel) across projects and services based on demand, skills, availability, and business priorities.

•          Collaborate with department managers to ensure appropriate resource sizing to deliver workloads within agreed timelines and quality standards.

•          Monitor resource utilisation, identify gaps or surpluses, and recommend adjustments to ensure resource efficiency.

•          People onboarding and career development/pathway enablement

•          Productivity review and planning.

  • Continually improve process, toolset, and people capabilities to drive productivity and utilisation improvement
  • Allocate the right people to the right role at the right time, Supporting service demand prioritisation and supply augmentation.
  • Identifying and providing insight regarding workforce planning and skills, capability, and trends
  • Use experience, knowledge, and relationships to ensure we maximise productivity and develop our talent through their on-the-job experiences
  • Stakeholder & relationship Management - Responsible for managing key relationships within and across their account, sector, or domain talent pool
  • Opportunity & Demand management - Ensuring seamless connectivity between pursuit teams and our available talent
  • Talent pool management - Actively managing our available talent, understanding their capability, and proactively identifying opportunities or connections to support their deployment
  • Resource optimisation - Highlighting capability across their group and the wider business to optimise performance
  • Experience and proficiency in workforce management tools (Netsuite, OpenAir) and data and reporting tools (Excel and PowerBI) is crucial


Requirements

Knowledge

  • Resource management / workforce planning experience
  • Experience and proficiency in workforce management tools (Netsuite, OpenAir) and data and reporting tools (Excel and PowerBI) is crucial.

 

Skills

  • 5 years of experience in a relevant field, qualifications in computer science, technology, or a related discipline.
  • 3-4 years; experience with resource management and/or supply & demand management within managed services or B2B environments
  • Ability to understand the business and learn the unique skills, needs, desires and goals of our people
  • Ability to find the right opportunities and connections to create diverse, inclusive, and high-performing teams.
  • Able to optimize business performance by advocating solutions, providing insights, and managing expectations in pursuit of increasing utilization and employee engagement.
  • Exceptional client service with a strong desire to build exceptional, high-performing teams
  • Demonstrating personal leadership and having presence, vitality, and agility
  • Strong communication (both written and oral) and interpersonal skills
