Product Owner (Trip & Pricing)

Angkas’ mission is to eradicate poverty in the Philippines by providing opportunities for its bikers to create a source of livelihood that impacts their family and their communities. 

The Product Owner, will play a crucial role in setting up the foundations in making this happen - by delivering tangible value through product innovation and achieving product excellence.

What you’ll be doing:

• Lead the vision, strategy, and execution of trip handling, matchmaking, and pricing  features of Angkas
• Work on building, iterating, and growing a product suite of Angkas’ core trip products
• Oversee a high-traffic platform supporting millions of transactions
• Own more than 10 features, dealing with complex business rules, calculations, and system integrations
• Engage in pioneering new product features, novel solutions, and create new “Lego blocks” in software solutions together with the Trip & Pricing squad
• Define and monitor key metrics for performance indicators to drive continuous improvement and iterate on product features
• Ensure a high degree of collaboration with stakeholders to achieve business impact

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
• At least 4+ years of combined product management experience in a technology-driven company, preferably in the transportation or mobility sector

• Proven track record of launching successful products/features, from concept to delivery
• Background working with tech startups or in hyper-growth and scaling environment

• Familiarity with A/B testing, product analytics tools, and running product experiments
• Experience with APIs, microservices architecture, and backend systems
• Knowledge of geolocation technologies, routing algorithms, and high-traffic systems would be advantageous
• Proficiency in data analysis and ability to use data and metrics to inform product decisions
• Capable of influencing stakeholders, working closely with them along with other members of the tech team to analyze tradeoffs and determine acceptable and best possible solutions
