Q201007: CAD Drafter (Solidworks & AutoCAD)

Create and design technical drawings and designs for projects by computer-aided design. Responsible for the delivery of all aspects of drawing production and CAD management where required. The client is based in Australia and they offer services for fabrication, electrical, and modular.

The Responsibilities:

• Follow specifications and calculations to create various technical drawings.
• Check the detailing of the drawings.
• Prepare detailed structural drawings using CAD software.
• Perform calculations for materials and weight limitations.
• Communicate with engineers, and incorporate knowledge gained into drawings.
• Prepare and review alongside the engineering team.
• Ensure final designs are compliant with building regulations.
• Identify and communicate potential design problems to the rest of the team.
• Perform other related duties as required.

The Requirements:

• 2 - 3 years experience as a CAD Drafter or similar role.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and SolidWorks design software.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and can work with less supervision.
• Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication, strong work ethic, and attention to detail.

The Work Set-Up:

• Work onsite
• 8 hour work shift
• Monday to Friday
  
• Day shift (8am - 5pm)
