QA Engineer

Job Title: Automation QA Engineer (Associate & Mid-Level) – Playwright

About the Role

We are looking for highly motivated Automation QA Engineers at both Associate and Mid-Level to join our growing Quality Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test suites using Playwright, ensuring high-quality software delivery across our products.

Key Responsibilities

For All Levels

• Design, write, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript preferred).
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and manual QAs to understand requirements and define test strategies.
• Build and maintain robust automation frameworks and CI/CD integrations.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end automated testing.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and drive resolution.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, standards, and tools.
• Additional Responsibilities for Mid-Level
  • Lead test planning and provide technical guidance to junior QA team members.
  • Improve automation coverage and advocate for best practices in code review and test architecture.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance testing efficiency and system reliability.
  • Participate in designing scalable QA solutions with cross-functional stakeholders.

Requirements

Associate-Level

• 1–2+ years of experience in QA (manual or automation) with at least 1 year of Playwright automation experience.
• Solid understanding of software testing fundamentals and SDLC.
• Basic proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Experience writing and executing test cases.
• Familiarity with defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Mid-Level

• 3–5+ years of automation QA experience, with 2+ years focused on Playwright.
• Strong automation framework design skills.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and understanding of modern web technologies.
• Experience integrating automated tests in CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.).
• Experience with API automation (e.g., Playwright API testing, Postman, REST Assured).
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and participate in architectural decisions.

Nice-to-Have (All Levels)

• Experience with Docker or containerized test execution.
• Knowledge of performance testing or visual testing tools.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
