The Data team is dedicated to disrupting the traditional debt collection industry by developing sophisticated machine learning models, AI solutions, and BI technologies. We utilize extensive datasets and digital-first communication to deliver superior results. In this role, you’ll play a crucial part in our Research and Development team, working collaboratively across departments to support both internal and external stakeholders. Your expertise will be essential in designing and implementing custom reporting data pipelines and file integration solutions. • Develop data pipelines using Python and associated orchestration tools and processes.
  
• Deploy data pipelines in accordance with best-practice DevOps principles and incorporate automated testing.
  
• Foster a culture of continuous analytics improvement to enhance data literacy across the organization.
  
• Manage large-scale data integration projects.
  
• Collaborate effectively with team members to foster a speed-oriented culture within the data team and contribute to its growth.
  
• Work autonomously while making collaborative decisions within a supportive and challenging team environment.
  

Requirements

Measure Twice, Cut Once – Qualifications to Ensure Precision and Excellence

• Strong development skills in Python.
  
• Experience in writing SQL queries for extracting and processing data.
  
• Experience with data warehousing technologies (preferably Snowflake) and data pipeline orchestration tools (preferably Dagster).
  
• Proficiency in data structure and data modeling, with the ability to translate business requirements into functional solutions.
  
• Experience with Git version control.
  
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced working environment where priorities may shift frequently.
  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  
• Familiarity with AWS or other cloud service providers.
  

Highly Valued Attributes:

• Experience deploying data pipelines using best practices, including writing automated tests and setting up CI/CD pipelines.
  
• Experience working with event-oriented data structures.
  
• Familiarity with data transformation tools such as dbt.
