Responsibilities:
- Reporting directly to Audit Director
- Perform audit engagements across various cycles with limited supervision
- Correspond with clients at a reasonable level in line with technical capabilities
- Thoroughly document various audit cycles with minimal review
- Plan audits to the technical level expected of a senior auditor
- Perform analytical & substantive testing of various cycles as documented throughout the audit plan in line with legislative requirements of the appropriate Australian Accounting Standards
- Prepare financial statements to advanced technical level
- Provide supervision & guidance on audit engagements to junior staff where applicable
- Contribute to the team environment & enabling teams to navigate audit peak periods
- Training & mentorship of junior staff where applicable
- Learn and assist with Real Estate, Solicitors, and Accountants Trust Account Audits where required
- Other assurance engagements as required
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or any relevant degree
- Preferably a CPA
- Minimum of 4 years of recent experience as an auditor with a quality CPA firm
- Must have solid experience in End-to-End Auditing
- Must be knowledgeable in Australian Accounting Standards
- Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills
- Knowledgeable in IFRS and GAAP
- Sound technical accounting skills, as well as attention to detail, are essential
