As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be a pivotal part of our client's Managed Services team, ensuring the smooth support and maintenance of daily operations within clients' IT environments. Acting as the escalation point for all client matters, you will oversee services, troubleshooting, relationships, cloud upgrades, and communications. Your role is essential in delivering operational excellence in team-based environments, where you will serve as a trusted technology advisor to both internal and external stakeholders.

• Manage, support, and deliver state-of-the-art data solutions that address customer requirements for operations, scalability, reliability, security, and performance.
  
• Drive the deployment and support of large, complex cloud projects and services.
  
• Provide hands-on support across provisioning and implementation of Azure Data services, including security monitoring and management.
  
• Serve as an escalation point for internal stakeholders and clients, fulfilling customer service requests in a timely manner and ensuring escalated issues, problems, risks, and constraints are promptly addressed.
  
• Offer infrastructure and automation expertise to deliver data warehousing, data functions, and end-to-end data analytics solutions.
  
• Support in-house and external engineers with data warehousing operations, manipulation, migration, cleansing, and integration. Transform data into seamless formats for easy analysis by all parties, including clients.
  
• Support the delivery, management, and execution of ITIL service management policies, processes, and procedures.
  
• Drive Service Operations improvement plans and reduce the cost of delivering ITIL support, change, and release processes while striving to improve customer satisfaction.
  
• Understand and apply the fundamentals of governance, licensing, security features, and the full Microsoft suite for best practices.
  
• Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure, proactively ensuring the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability and integrity.
  
• Gather specifications and deliver solutions to our clients.
  
• Recommend client value creation initiatives and implement industry best practices where relevant.
  
• Collaborate with the wider team to develop strategic account plans for target accounts and contribute to go-to-market strategies to accelerate the growth of LAB3 and our partners.
  
• Demonstrate a professional ability to work with business stakeholders, manage effective relationships, understand issues, provide recommendations, and deliver appropriate technical solutions.
  
• Abide by an on-call structure when necessary.
  
• Strictly adhere to all LAB3’s Information Security Management System policies and procedures.
  

Requirements

• Expertise in ITIL methodology (Incident, Change, Problem & Request) frameworks and tooling such as ServiceNow
  
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Cloud Operating model
  
• Understanding of the Azure Well-Architected Framework in the context of Data services
  
• Knowledge of Automation & DevOps methodologies
  
• Experience with Enterprise Data Warehousing
  
• Proficiency in Azure Synapse
  
• Expertise in Azure Data Factory (ADF)
  
• Experience with Azure Enterprise scale in the context of a Data Landing Zone, including:

• Key & Recovery Vaults: ASR, Backup
  
• Azure Policy & Logging
  
• Tagging
  
• Azure Monitor
  
• Automation accounts
  
• Cost management
  
• Proficiency with Power BI
  
• Knowledge of SQL Server Services, T-SQL, Spark, and Python
  
• Experience in Azure SQL DB/MI Configuration
  
• Understanding of Azure Networking, Security, and MS Defender
  
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tooling and processes such as Azure DevOps, Terraform, YAML, branching strategies, and policies (advantageous)
  
• Experience with SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS (desirable)
  
• Knowledge of data modeling (desirable)
