UCT is looking for a talented Sr. Data Analyst to join us in Cebu!
As a Sr. Data Analyst in the Global Quality and EHS department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products/services through data-driven insights and analysis. You will collect, analyze, and interpret data related to product/service quality and EHS, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations to improve overall quality, safety, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Total Quality Management (TQM) systems, Power BI, SharePoint, and other relevant analytical tools.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Data Collection and Analysis:
- Gather data from various sources, including quality management systems, production databases, customer feedback, and other relevant sources.
- Clean, organize, and preprocess data to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Analyze data using statistical methods, data mining techniques, and visualization tools to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies related to product/service quality.
- Quality & EHS Monitoring and Reporting:
- Develop and maintain quality and EHS performance metrics and dashboards to track key quality & EHS indicators.
- Monitor quality & EHS metrics regularly and provide timely reports to stakeholders, highlighting areas of concern and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and enable them with data to identify root causes of issues and implement corrective/preventive actions.
- Expert Analytics and Reporting:
- Develop and manage advanced analytics projects using Power BI to visualize and report on quality metrics and trends.
- Utilize SharePoint as a collaborative tool for storing and sharing data reports, ensuring that stakeholders can access and act on information in real time.
- Preferably utilize advanced statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms to forecast potential future quality issues and devise preemptive strategies.
- Ensure smooth interoperability between TQM systems and data analytics platforms like Power BI and SharePoint.
- Strategic Recommendations and Reporting:
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for executive leadership that illustrate data findings, outline detected patterns, and propose informed recommendations.
- Conduct risk assessments based on historical data trends and predictive analytics to mitigate potential quality failures.
- Lead regular review meetings with key stakeholders to discuss findings and adjust strategies as necessary.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Expert proficiency in Microsoft Power BI and SharePoint for data analyses and enterprise-level information sharing.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and generate actionable insights.
- Experience with statistical analysis, data mining, and predictive modeling techniques.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and a passion for continuous improvement.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Project Management skill is a plus.
Educational/Certification Requirement:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Experience Requirement:
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in a data analytics role, background in quality assurance, or a related field is a plus.
