• Manage the full-cycle general ledger financial close process to ensure completeness and accuracy in accordance with US GAAP, including journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, and flux and trend analyses.
  
• Focus on key accounting areas, including general ledger, payroll, cost of goods sold, inventory, and accounts receivable.
  
• Prepare schedules, supporting documents, and variance analyses for management insights.
  
• Identify issues proactively, drive continuous improvements, and optimize and automate processes and systems.
  
• Contribute to departmental projects and initiatives, collaborating cross-functionally as needed.
  
• Support the financial audit process by preparing audit requests and responding to inquiries.
  
• Ensure quality and timely delivery of all financial reports and documentation.
  
• Assist with general accounting matters, ad hoc projects, and specific requests as needed.
  
• Collaborate with the Accounting Manager to draft and propose accounting policies and procedures that help scale the department and company.
  

Requirements

Credentials for a High-Performance Financial Team

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, with 3+ years of relevant experience (CPA is a plus)
  
• Strong understanding of US GAAP standards
  
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, balancing monthly responsibilities and multiple projects
  
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to work cross-functionally
  
• Demonstrated track record of hands-on accounting experience, including month-end closings, audits, schedule preparation, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
  
• Strong desire to continuously learn and develop new skills, with exposure to all areas of accounting
  
• Preferred experience with NetSuite (not required)
  
• Advanced Excel skills, including maintaining complex spreadsheets and utilizing advanced formulas
