DescriptionJob Title: Inventory Planner
Schedule: M-F, 8 am-5 pm EST
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Develop and maintain seasonal forecasting plans from demand through to net sales, incorporating
- Margin, returns and transfer impacts to all channels within the company, pre-season and in-season,
- Create and maintain item/SKU forecasts for all items within assigned divisions,
- Collaborate with the Product Management team: new item forecasts, seasonal buys and data analysis
- Create and review weekly inventory buys
- Analyze seasonal results of key metrics providing highlights and action items
- Review product performance, recommend, and take actions on forecasts, buys, inventory balancing, chasing to fill orders, or reviewing pricing/markdowns,
- Analyze and review life-cycle of the products, or colors, with recommendations and actions to closeout items and sell-through inventory to growth opportunities,
- Create vendor projections by season and communication with vendors,
- Understand manufacturing and each vendors capacities, lead times, MOQs and ability to adjust production to balance inventories,
- Communicating with internal partners and external vendors
- Advocate for financial disciplines and inventory efficiency while working with the product manager and department managers,
- Collaborate with merchant partners to create optimal demand forecasts that maximize results through replenishment and align with the merchandise strategy,
- Proactively seek opportunities to drive replenishment and improve item performance
- Perform analysis and influence decision-making to improve replenishment sales and inventory result that complement the total assortment
- Maintain attributes and default settings in forecasting and item set-up tools,
- Special projects as requested
- Goals include driving demand, inventory turnover and in-stock goals, forecast accuracy, and profitability goals.
Requirements - Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Superior problem solving and analytical skills along with the ability to make decisions, with limited data
- eCommerce Retail experience in seasonal planning, forecasting, buying and inventory balancing
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and adapt to changes quickly
- High degree of attention to detail, accuracy and quick to learn
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including proficiency with Pivot Tables and formulas.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Access, Excel, Power BI,
- Familiarity with Click Up or other project management software
- Familiarity with Promethean Planning and Budgeting or other planning software
- A quiet, dedicated space from which to work remotely.

- Eastern time zone availability (8:00-5:00 p.m.)
- PC required for access to our software
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Equestrian experience (strongly preferred)
- Prior experience in a similar role
- Bachelor’s degree or at least 5 years equivalent experience
- Proficient in English Language
