We are looking for an ambitious and driven Assistant Finance Manager whose values align with our TEAM; standing for Together, Extra-mile, Accountable and Mindful. The Assistant Finance Manager works closely with the senior Finance team and Operations team to help with administrative and financial tasks, including invoicing, budget drafting, issuing purchase orders, and implementing and managing processes.The core focus of the team is to maintain the financial health of the business, and it's the Assistant Finance Managers role to create financial reports and support the Fiannce manager in any needed tasks.


Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly and yearly account closing, make sure all figures are tally with Balance Sheet Notes schedule, IFRS Schedule & Interco Matrix.
  • Prepare for monthly Close Call and present the Profit and loss & cash flow movement of the month.
  • Review monthly Landlord 's Management Report.
  • Email monthly Landlord's Management Report to landlords.
  • Prepare financial performance and present during monthly EXCO meeting.
  • Prepare for Bi-weekly cash flow projection.
  • Assist and support country manager on monthly, quarterly and yearly EOM slides.
  • Review quarterly tax CP204 submission.
  • Assist in preparing yearly budget.
  • Check payment prepared by AP team.
  • Liaise with external auditor on yearly audit.
  • Liaise with external tax agent on yearly tax computation and submission.
  • Liaise with company secretary, Commissioner for Oath and banker.
  • Assist on quarterly stock count.
  • Involved in quarterly BS Notes review with Group Finance Team.
  • Support Malaysia Finance Team from time to time(if any). "
  • Build solid relationships and give financial support across all departments and to vendors.
  • Assist management in the preparation of the annual and monthly budgets, forecast, managment reports and business plan
  • Prepare balance sheet and P&L statements, and ensure the accuracy of all data
  • Review monthly Landlord 's Management Report
  • Email monthly Landlord's Management Report to landlords
  • Prepare financial performance and present during monthly EXCO meeting
  • Monitor cashflow position and forecast with division inputs on need basis so to provide timely and bi-weekly update
  • Support the Operations team in performing management accounting reporting, analyses, planning, budgeting and forecasting
  • Reviewing financial data and prepare monthly/annual reports
  • Coordinate with project managers and local finance team on monthly reporting
  • Ensure the effectivness of AR and AP management by close monitoring of debtor and creditor accounts as well as timely reviewing invoice issuance and debt collection
  • Ensure internal controls and records are in compliance with company and legal requirement
  • Involve in quarterly BS Notes review with Group Finance Team
  • Liaise with external and internal auditors, taxation advisor and company secretary as well as any related parties
  • Closely collaborate with internal stakeholders, local operations and finance team.


Requirements
  • Three to five years experience in a leadership position, ideally within finance and accounting.
  • Personable with strong verbal and written communication
  • Exceptionally organised with the ability to multitask
  • Thrives under pressure and solution-oriented
  • University Degree is an advantage
  • Proficient in excel and good drive.
  • Strong business and commercial acumen
  • Prior experience in coworking, real estate, or startup business would be an advantage
  • Fluent in English
