ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Performs highly diversified duties to install and maintain the facility’s machines and equipment with emphasis on cleanliness.
Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of equipment during machine service.
Performs simple machinist duties and repairs.
Performs mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, troubleshooting and repair of machines.
Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
Diagnoses problems, replaces or repairs parts, tests and makes adjustments.
Performs regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and facility.
Performs a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
Uses a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
Detects faulty operations, defective materials and reports those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
Complies with safety regulations and maintains clean and orderly work area.
Performs assigned duties in a timely manner with the highest degree of initiative.
Attends all departmental meetings, staff functions and receptions (attendance at member/guest parties is strongly encouraged).
Maintains a high degree of professionalism in regards to attitude and performance.
Maintains or develops necessary knowledge regarding position-related topics, including the fitness industry in general.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret English documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write reports and correspondences. Ability to communicate in English effectively with customers and/or employees of the organization. Must be capable of speaking effectively in front of groups of customers and/or employees.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form and communicate the information effectively.
