Data Client Lead (Mid Shift)

The Role

This role will be an integral part of a global team responsible for delivering quality technical solutions in an efficient manner to clients around the world. Focus will be data conversion, ongoing imports, and valuation extracts, and other exports.

Overall

• Assigned to specific client projects as the Data Client Lead


• Works with the Data Delivery Team Lead and/or Pension Data Manager to understand the scope of project tasks and deliverables to be completed by Data Management Team (DMT) resources, and provides input to milestones/timeline impacts throughout the project.


• Oversees work of all BAs and developers for project tasks and deliverables to be completed by the DMT and ensures they are managing to budget and timeline provided


• Coordinate with the Retiree Payroll Client Lead related to the retiree payroll data (personal, beneficiary and benefit payments)


• Coordinate with the Implementation or Client Team to proactively communicate project tasks and deliverables as part of monthly, weekly, and daily planning


• Identifies out of scope requests and scope creep related to project tasks and deliverables and proactively communicates to the implementation or client team lead


• Ensures the Data Roadmap and other DMT tools are being utilized, including Pension General Validation processes, and works with admin team for data storage strategy and design


• Provides input on go-live checklist with respect to data conversion process


• Perform Data Management Business Analyst tasks as needed, to support the team, project billable work, and milestones


• Coach BA and Developers to help develop skills and Data knowledge

Meetings / Communication

• Participate in kickoff and debrief meetings


• Provide consulting advice and/or participate in team discussions related to complex items (either internally or with the client)


• Manages data issues log to ensure items are logged and addressed by the designated due dates with proper documentation related to the issue, next steps, and resolution


• Transitions knowledge and requirements to BAs and developers after initial requirements gathering meeting(s) and throughout the project


• Proactively reports project status to the Implementation Team and data delivery team leader


• Participate in DMT daily planning meetings


• Works with Pension Data Manager to ensure data-related components are implemented properly and integrate well with the other system components (calculator, imports, Valuation extract, ESS, etc.)

System Specifications / Documentation

• Responsible for the specifications related to DMT project tasks and deliverables


• Ensure details required for programming and configuration are complete and maintained throughout the implementation (a combination of BAs will be making the updates)


• Ensure specifications are created for any scripts or data cleanup tasks included during the conversion process


• Ensure specifications are reviewed and “client-ready” before using in meetings or sending to the client


• Responsible for Pension General Validation output, including data analysis and review presentation


• Adjust materials based on client-specific needs and focus


• Communicates suggested changes or enhancements to the Data Management Team related to specifications, tools, or processes

Development / Configuration / Testing

• Coordinates with BA(s) and developer(s) to ensure understanding of data requirements for complete and accurate configuration and development


• Ensure unit testing is completed and help establish unit test cases, if needed


• Review testing strategy, including testing plan to ensure test case results match requirements

Go-Live

• Ensure go live checklist is being followed and all manual steps that update data include peer review


• Monitor import performance and mitigate delays that would impact deliverable dates


• Available throughout the data conversion process during work and off-work hours to perform data conversion steps or to support the resources performing the steps
