We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Financial Accounting Assistant to join our organization. The ideal candidate will assist the finance department to maintain accurate financial records, prepare financial reports, and perform various accounting tasks. Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Assist in the preparation of month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Support the finance team in conducting internal audits and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Help analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist with payroll processing and ensure accurate recording of employee compensation and benefits.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documents.
  • Perform other accounting and administrative tasks as assigned by the Finance Manager or Senior Accountant.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, a huge plus
  • Previous experience (1-2 years) in a similar role preferred, but recent graduates with relevant internships or coursework will also be considered.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information.
