Job Overview
As a Guidance Counselor, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a supportive environment conducive to academic success and personal growth. This role demands a blend of counseling expertise, educational insight, and administrative skills to support students' holistic development within the educational institution.
Your Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive guidance program aligned with institutional objectives
Deliver various counseling services including but not limited testing, placement, evaluation, research, and group guidance
Design intervention programs for students requiring further assessment and evaluation
Create yearly guidance modules addressing student needs and concerns
Conduct aptitude assessments, interviews, and administer psychological tests
Identify and address school-related issues affecting student academic performance
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents on student matters
Conduct learning seminars and career planning sessions
Maintain updated student records in the centralized database system
Assist in administering entrance examinations and group testing
Refer students with potential mental health disorders to partner clinics
What our Client is Looking For:
Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with a Master's Degree in Guidance and Counseling
Registered Guidance Counselor (RGC) is preferred.
3-5 years of experience in various guidance and counseling services in tertiary education
Proficiency in teaching and guidance models
Familiarity with operational and innovative approaches to handle student populations
Strong communication, database management, research, critical thinking, and leadership skills
Ability to engage with diverse student backgrounds and personalities
Excellent command of English
Proficiency in problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills
Independent and proactive with a focus on student development
Adaptability to new technological advancements
Willingness to work on Saturdays
