Responsible for handling second-level support and service requests. The role responsibility for network analysis and design, network support, the resource will be required to provide top level support for any network issues ranging from implementation of new networks, troubleshooting outages for local and remote networks. Additional responsibilities include handling second level support and service requests related to infrastructure including but not limited to: firewall, network switches, access point, network attached storage, servers, and router.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Technical support for networking such as: WAN, LAN, and WIRELESS connectivity, routers, firewalls, and network switches.
- Remote access solution implementation and support such as IPSEC VPN
- Ability to work with vendor support to resolve client issues.
- Experience with Command Line Interfaces to manage firewall, router and network equipment.
- Respond to and resolve alerts and tickets generated from the monitoring system and/or
customer requests in a timely fashion.
- Communicate with ITSM as needed regarding ticket progress, changes or agreed outages.
- Escalate service requests that require engineer level support in a timely fashion.
- Work with all team members to implement and improve infrastructure best practices.
- Utilize central management tools to resolve customer issues with minimal customer impact.
- Ability to deliver against deadlines and agreed targets.
- Configuration backup of firewall, router, server and network switches
- Monitoring and analysis
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Engineering related.
- 5 yrs minimum Previous hands-on work experience as a networking engineer.
- Advanced knowledge of network operating systems including Cisco, JUNOS, IOS, Sonicwall, unifi, ETC,
- Excellent knowledge of access networking technologies, routers & firewalls, VPN solutions, Quality of Service, subnetting, etc
- Familiarity with communication and routing protocols.
- Familiarity with network analysis tools including SolarWind, wireshark, datadog, cacti,
- Excellent leadership and mentoring skills.
- High level problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of OSI layer.
