Nao Medical is seeking a skilled and organized Inventory Assistant to help manage inventory levels, coordinate stock replenishment, and support inventory control activities. This remote position will involve working closely with the inventory team to maintain accurate inventory records and ensure that customer demands are met efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Assess inventory needs from various locations based on reports from on-ground staff.
Order inventory from vendors and suppliers, coordinating delivery times.
Manage inventory through cataloging and updating the inventory management system.
Perform quality checks on inventory and discard items that do not meet company standards.
Update and maintain accurate inventory records, sharing them with management and stakeholders.
Report inventory discrepancies, such as shortages, to help identify potential theft.
Reconcile and record incoming inventory items.
Coordinate transfers of inventory between warehouses and office/clinic locations.
Ensure the accuracy of inventory records within the company’s database.
Conduct periodic inventory audits to verify stock levels.
Organize and maintain the warehouse for efficient inventory storage and handling.
Communicate with vendors to resolve inventory-related issues.
Generate reports on inventory levels and trends as needed.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely fulfillment of customer orders.
Evaluate vendors on a semi-annual basis for better pricing and payment terms.
Perform additional tasks assigned by management.
Requirements
Reliable wired internet connection with a speed of at least 50 Mbps.
Computer/laptop with a minimum of Intel Core i3 processor or equivalent. Having a dual screen for increased productivity is a plus.
Operating system: Windows 10 or macOS (latest version) with regular updates.
RAM: Minimum 4 GB, preferably 8 GB or more for smoother multitasking.
Hard drive: At least 128 GB of free storage space for software and data.
Functioning webcam and microphone for clear communication.
Updated antivirus software to ensure data security and protection against cyber threats. Having a VPN is preferred but not required.
Reliable backup systems for electricity and internet outages are in place.
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field (preferred).
At least 2 years of experience in inventory management or a related field.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage accurate inventory records.
Good communication skills to interact with vendors and team members.
Proficiency with inventory management software and Google Suite.
Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a remote team.
Prior experience working in a remote setup is a plus.
