Job Description

The IT Manager at ST Telemedia GDC Philippines is responsible for leading the IT team to innovate and implement cutting-edge solutions within the
data center environment. The role exists to ensure that the IT systems are at the forefront of technological advancements, operating within the
strategic goals of the organization, with permanent objectives focused on enhancing performance, scalability, and efficiency of IT infrastructure.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Innovative Infrastructure Solutions: Spearhead the design and implementation of state-of-the-art data center infrastructure.
  • Team Empowerment: Foster a culture of innovation within the IT team
  • Technology Adoption: Identify and assess new technologies relevant to data center operations
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for innovative IT solutions.
  • Collaboration with Vendors: Engage with technology vendors to stay informed about the latest products and services.
  • Continuous Improvement: Implement a continuous improvement framework for existing systems and processes.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Data Center Operations: In-depth knowledge of data center operations, including infrastructure management, cooling systems, power distribution, and capacity planning. This knowledge should be specific to the industry and essential for ensuring the smooth functioning of IT systems.

  • Cybersecurity Practices: Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, including threat assessment, risk management, and compliance with industry regulations. This is crucial for maintaining the security and integrity of data within the organization.

  • Innovation and Emerging Technologies: Familiarity with the latest technological trends and innovations, particularly in cloud computing, AI, and automation. The candidate should possess the ability to identify and evaluate emerging technologies that could benefit the organization.

  • Vendor and Partner Management: Proficiency in managing relationships with external vendors and technology partners. This includes contract negotiation, performance evaluation, and leveraging partnerships to drive innovation.

  • Strategic IT Planning: Ability to develop and implement IT strategies that align with business objectives, ensuring that IT initiatives support the overall goals of the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in IT management roles, preferably within a data center environment.

  • Relevant certifications such as ITIL, CISSP, PMP, or equivalent are highly desirable.

  • Training in data center management, cybersecurity, or cloud technologies is advantageous
