Description


Primary Duties & Responsibilities



  • Provide support to end-users in regard to network connectivity and desktop computing. 

  • Maintain and support PC workstations and laptops. This will include troubleshooting and replacing hardware components, performing upgrades to existing systems, and installing replacement systems.

  • Support also include software support of the operating system, Microsoft Office, and other standard packages used by II-VI Corporation.

  • Develop, implement and administer IT services, ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of all information and production systems.

  • Collaborate with regional and global team members.

  • Responsible for the network - telecommunications function and to ensure compatibility and interoperability of computer systems, telecommunication and office equipment.
                


Education & Experience



  • BS degree in Information Science or related areas.

  • Atleast 1 year of experience in PC and Network system support and administration, and end-user support.  

  • Knowledge of desktop operating systems (Windows)  and network operating systems, (Windows Server) as well as network and communication protocols is a plus.

  • Excellent computer skills, experience with Microsoft  Office programs including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook Email and Internet Explorer.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem analysis skills

  • Knowledge of network/server backup systems

  • Knowledge in programming is a plus (PHP, HTML, Javascript, Visual Basic)

  • Must be both team-oriented and self-motivated.


                
 


Skills



  • Good  knowledge of Microsoft Server Windows Operating Systems,  Network operating  systems (Microsoft 2008/2012 Server)  and Data communication protocols/technologies preferred. 

  • Excellent customer service skills including telephone techniques, listening skills, sense of urgency and enthusiasm

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with end-users and management. Good command of spoken and written English

  • Demonstrated problem solving and work prioritization skills.  Must be both team-oriented and self-motivated. Familiarity with administration and support of voice communications

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities involving external and internal priorities

  • Ability to excel in a cross-organizational, cross cultural, global team environment

  • Handle special assignments promptly and professionally

  • Set a high standard of ethics, professionalism, leadership, and competency
