What are we looking for?
Skills Required:
- Bachelor's degree in or equivalent work experience in legal setting
- Minimum 2+ years experience as a Legal Assistant / Legal Secretary
- Background in Immigration Law
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Nice to have:
- Proficiency in using Clio Manage & Grow is a plus
- Worked with any interpreter is a plus
What will you do?
- Client Intake - follow up with potential or current clients; Gathering basic information from a checklist or questionnaire
- Acknowledge and respond to direct emails from attorney
- Ask for and be proactive in scheduling weekly case status meeting with each attorney
- Understands in prioritizing workflow, in a way other attorneys understand urgency and priority of other tasks
- Calendar all due dates as documents are received β setting reminders and follow ups
