Medical Biller

MedVA, a reputable virtual assistant company in the healthcare industry, is currently seeking a skilled Medical Biller to join our team. As a Medical Biller at MedVA, you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient and accurate billing processes for our clients in the healthcare sector. You will be responsible for reviewing and submitting claims, following up on unpaid claims, and resolving any billing-related issues to maximize reimbursement.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify accuracy of medical billing documents
• Assign appropriate billing codes and modifiers
• Submit claims electronically to insurance companies
• Follow up on unpaid claims and denials
• Handle patient billing inquiries and disputes
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical billing regulations and requirements
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and team members to streamline billing processes

• Minimum of 1-year experience as a Medical Biller (RCM)
• Proficient in medical billing software and EMR/EHR systems
• Proficiency in medical coding and billing practices (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS)
• Proven experience in end-to-end billing cycle
• Experience in claims and denials

• Knowledge of insurance guidelines and reimbursement procedures

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Medical-related courses preferred but not required
• Associate degree in Medical Billing or a related field preferred
