Job Description

The Operations Excellence Management function is responsible for driving continuous improvement throughout the organization by implementing industry best practices. This role collaborates across departments to identify areas for improvement, streamline processes, and reduce costs. By leveraging data-driven solutions and fostering a culture of high performance, the Operations Excellence Management expert contributes to the organization's overall strategic objectives.

Operational Strategy Development:

  • Develop and implement operational excellence strategies that align with the organization’s goals.
  • Identify key performance areas and drive improvement initiatives.
  • Process Optimization:
  • Analyze and map out existing processes, identifying bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
  • Lead initiatives to streamline processes, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.

Continuous Improvement Initiatives:

  • Establish a culture of continuous improvement through Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies.
  • Monitor and analyze KPIs to measure the impact of continuous improvement initiatives.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, supply chain, and customer service to drive operational excellence.
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions on operational best practices.

Change Management:

  • Lead change management efforts by engaging employees at all levels and ensuring smooth transitions to new processes.
  • Performance Management:
  • Develop and implement metrics for evaluating the success of operational excellence initiatives.
  • Provide regular reports to senior management on progress and results.

Soft:

Hard:

  • Process Improvement Methodologies: Expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement tools
  • Data Analysis: Analyze operational data to identify trends, patterns, and potential risks.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage timelines, budgets, and resources effectively
  • Quality Management: Knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO standards)
  • Supply Chain Management: Understanding of supply chain processes and optimization techniques
  • Risk Management and Control: Continuously assess and address operational risks within the organization's processes and systems by designing and implementing robust internal controls. This proactive approach ensures compliance with both regulations and internal policies.

Certification/License (Encouraged but not required):

  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (or higher)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA)
  • Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP)
  • ISO 9001 Quality Management Certification ● Certified Public Accountant license

HIRING REQUIREMENTS

Work Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in operations management (beneficial if in IT), continuous improvement or a similar role within a large organization, preferably in industries like financial institution, manufacturing, supply chain, or services.
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing process improvement methodologies, resource and financial principles application across multiple business units.
  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams and driving change at an organizational level.
  • Strong project management background with a history of delivering projects on time and within budget.

Level of Knowledge

  • Expert level knowledge in operational excellence methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) and their practical applications, financial principles, partner mgmt, resource mgmt.
  • Advanced understanding of data analysis and its role in driving process improvements.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of quality management standards and compliance requirements.
  • In-depth expertise in change management principles and best practices.
