Job Description
As a Principal Software Architect, you won’t just be the brains behind the architectural vision—you’ll also roll up your sleeves and code alongside the team. You’ll take the lead in designing and implementing the foundation of our next-gen platforms while actively contributing to the development process. This is a role for someone who loves to architect, but also relishes getting their hands dirty with code, ensuring that the execution aligns with the vision.

Key Responsibilities:

Architect & Code: Define, design, and build the architecture for cloud-native, high-performance platforms—while being directly involved in hands-on coding to ensure architectural integrity.

Lead from the Front: Collaborate with engineering teams to write high-quality code and troubleshoot complex system-level issues. You’ll lead by example and guide the team in best coding practices and design patterns.

Innovate & Iterate: Stay hands-on with emerging technologies and frameworks, experimenting and prototyping new solutions that push the limits of scalability, reliability, and performance.

Technical Leadership: Drive technology choices and architectural decisions, ensuring that everything from API design to microservices orchestration is scalable, secure, and efficient.

Mentor & Collaborate: Be a technical mentor to engineers—pair programming, conducting code reviews, and providing guidance on architectural design patterns.

Bridge the Gap: Work closely with product managers, stakeholders, and other tech leads to align technical execution with business objectives.
What You Bring to the Role:

Experience: 10+ years in software development, with significant hands-on coding experience and at least 5 years in a senior or principal architectural role.

Hands-On Expertise:
- Proven experience designing and building cloud-native systems (AWS, GCP, RHOCP).
- Mastery of microservices architecture, distributed systems, and API-driven design.
- Proficient in coding with modern languages and frameworks (e.g., Node.js, Go, Python, Java, Typescript) and passionate about writing clean, efficient code.
- Strong grasp of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
- In-depth understanding of software security practices, both in architecture and code.

Problem Solver: You thrive on solving complex technical issues and have a track record of delivering reliable, high-performance systems.

Leadership: Proven leadership in driving teams to deliver on both architecture and code implementation while coaching engineers to reach their full potential.

Communication: You can clearly articulate technical solutions and translate them into actionable code, while working seamlessly with non-technical stakeholders.

Work Experience:
- Previous experience as a backend developer or similar role, preferably in a product-focused environment.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing applications and systems from scratch.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in an agile environment.

- Experience integrating AI/ML into architectural solutions.
Level of Knowledge:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
