QA Officer (Logistics)

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is a neutral, impartial and independent humanitarian organization headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland that protects and assists victims of armed conflicts and other situations of violence without discrimination. It has been active in the Philippines for more than 70 years, with a permanent presence since 1982. The ICRC works closely with the Philippine Red Cross, its primary partner in the country.

The Quality Assurance Officer ensures compliance with good storage and distribution practices and supports the implementation of medical quality assurance tasks. S/he also provides operational support in the areas of warehouse and stock management and supply chain planning.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Facilitates compliance to good storage and distribution practices
• Performs quality control of incoming goods
• Prepares periodic quality reports related to warehouse activities
• Ensures warehouse and inventory transactions are performed in a timely and accurate manner
• Organizes inventory counts and initiates claim reports
• Oversees the activities of the daily workers / external manpower assigned to logistics
• Supports the organization and preparation of information and reports needed for forecasting and demand planning

• University degree
• 3-5 years’ work experience in Supply Chain or Warehousing operations. Quality assurance background is a plus
• Very good computer literacy (Word, Excel)
• Very good command of written and spoken English.
• Must know how to drive both light vehicle & motorcycle.
• ERP experience is a plus.
