As a Quality Engineer at iXsystems, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and performance of our hardware and software solutions. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about field performance analysis, hardware and software support case analysis, and driving improvements to deliver exceptional products and service to our customers.




This position is ideal for candidates based in the Manila Metro Area, Philippines working on Pacific Standard Time (PST) from 8 AM to 5 PM.




This is an in-office role based out of our Makati office. 




Base Pay Range


The base salary of this position will pay up tp $21,000 USD annually. Additional compensation through the Incentive Bonus Program is available for this position after successfully completing 6-months of employment. 


Please note that the provided range reflects the pay spectrum for positions within the same job category as the one to which this position belongs. The final offer will consider various factors, such as location, education, and prior experience, to ensure a comprehensive and fair compensation assessment.

The Day-to-Day


The essential functions and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.


Quality Assurance and Control:



  • Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure products meet specifications and standards.

  • Advance inspection and testing of components and final products.

  • Monitor production processes to identify potential quality issues and implement corrective actions.




Customer Quality Support:



  • Address customer complaints and quality concerns promptly and effectively.

  • Conduct failure analysis and provide detailed reports.

  • Work with customer support teams to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve quality-related issues.






Supplier Quality Management:



  • Evaluate and audit suppliers to ensure they meet quality standards and requirements.

  • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve their processes.

  • Develop and maintain supplier quality metrics and component performance reports.




MES & QMS Quality Coordinator Representative:



  • Coordinate and manage the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to ensure quality data is accurately captured and reported.

  • Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) to meet organizational and regulatory requirements.

  • Serve as a representative for quality-related issues in MES and QMS implementation and improvements.




Continuous Improvement:



  • Implement lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance production efficiency and minimize defects.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Drive the adoption of best practices and innovation to optimize processes and achieve quality excellence.




Root Cause Analysis:



  • Investigate and analyze product failures and defects.

  • Utilize root cause analysis tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone diagram) to determine the underlying causes of quality issues.

  • Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).




Documentation and Compliance:



  • Ensure all quality documentation, including inspection records, test reports, and quality manuals, are accurate and up-to-date.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ANSI/UL 4200A) and regulatory requirements.

  • Prepare and submit quality reports and documentation for internal and external audits.




NPI Support:



  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure quality considerations are integrated into new product development.

  • Participate in MPI reviews and provide feedback on manufacturability and quality aspects.

  • Support validation and verification testing of new products.




Risk Management:



  • Identify and assess potential risks to product quality and production processes.

  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.

  • Conduct Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to proactively address potential quality issues.




Training and Development:



  • Develop and deliver quality training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of employees.

  • Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the organization.




Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Quality Management and/or a minimum of 5 years experience, preferably in the storage and server manufacturing industry

  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt, and other relevant quality certifications are preferred

  • Proficiency in quality assurance, data analysis, and reporting, with the ability to use data to drive decision-making.

  • Knowledge of quality management systems and regulatory requirements.

  • Quality Management Systems (QMS): In-depth knowledge of QMS standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and the ability to implement and maintain these systems.

  • Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) & Quality Management System Software: Proficiency in managing MES & QMS software.

  • Root Cause Analysis: Strong analytical skills for conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions.

  • Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma: Expertise in lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement.

  • Supplier Quality Management: Ability to evaluate, audit, and collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve processes.

  • Compliance and Regulatory Standards: Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., Safety & Electromagnetic compatibility) and the ability to ensure compliance.

  • Risk Management: Capability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to product quality and production processes.

  • Training and Development: Skill in developing and delivering quality training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.

  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers.
