This Officer will be part of the Global Regulatory Change and Controls team and will be responsible for execution of daily regulatory obligations, exception management of regulatory reporting controls, identify opportunities to improve and automate reporting processes & change management, to ensure JPMorgan’s full compliance with legislation from regulators. 


The Corporate Investment Bank (CIB) Global Regulatory Change and Controls (GRCC) team sits within CIB Operations and is spread across Asia, EMEA and North America with responsibility for providing oversight, leadership and management of regulatory reporting controls agenda across CIB Operations.  The team’s remit covers: 



  • Regulatory reporting change and advocacy

  • Definition, delivery and implementation of Regulatory Reporting Control Framework

  • Definition, delivery and implementation of Control Operating Models

  • Execution of Daily Regulatory Reporting obligations & controls

  • Leading cross line of business regulatory projects 

  • Leading the CIB’s strategic transformational regulatory reporting program

  • Deep dives of the Regulatory Reporting Control environment 


This role provides breadth and depth of visibility across the CIB Corporate Administrative Office organization and opportunity to creatively problem solve on a broad scale. This role partners extensively with Lines of businesses, Legal, Compliance, Audit, Technology and Corporate Operational Risk.  


Job Responsibilities



  1. Execute daily reporting controls to ensure completeness, accuracy, validity and timeliness of regulatory reporting.

  2. Log and track issues or control gaps identified.

  3. Work with Business and Technology to prioritize the requirements by presenting the business case.

  4. Escalate reporting issues to senior management, Compliance and appropriate Control Forums in a timely manner.

  5. Prepare and report Regulatory reporting control metrics to senior management, identify, mitigate, resolve risk and issues across team.

  6. Conduct thematic review of regulatory reporting issues or breaches, and propose the enhancement plans.

  7. Drive and deliver regulatory reporting process changes including automation initiatives. 

  8. Perform end to end testing for Regulatory changes.

  9. Actively participate in global programs in the regulatory risk space so that Asia requirements are aligned with global initiatives including strategic architecture for regulatory reporting, regulatory reporting standards & risk assessment.


Key Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities



  1. Preferably 5+ years of experience in execution of Regulatory Reporting controls. 

  2. Knowledge of operational processes and controls, with good understanding of risk, controls and quality assurance functions. 

  3. Business Analysis skills to identify source of data, validating data, writing business requirements and testing reports.

  4. Effective communication skills, with an ability to negotiate and influence different levels of stakeholders in CIB LOBs and functional areas.

  5. Proven ability to collaborate with partners across multiple disciplines, functions and locations

  6. Manage stakeholder expectations effectively, facilitate decision-making by providing right level of information and timely escalation when required

  7. Strong analytical and problem solving skill with strong sense of ownership and responsibility

  8. Have a proactive, focused approach, looking at continuous ways to improve the control and operational environment.


Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities



  1. Understanding of Global Transaction Reporting (GTR) requirements for MAS / ASIC / HKMA / JFSA / Korea would be beneficial.

  2. Experience in Alteryx or Tableau for improving & automating regulatory reporting controls

  3. Prior experience in executing regulatory reporting controls like completeness, accuracy & timeliness.

  4. Understanding of OTC Derivative products (Credit, Rates, FX, Equities and Commodities)
