About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled SaaS Administrator to join our IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing, configuring, and supporting various Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platforms used across the organization. You will ensure that the SaaS applications are functioning effectively, securely, and in line with the company’s needs. Your expertise will be vital in user management, integration, and ensuring seamless operation of all SaaS tools.
Key Responsibilities:
SaaS Platform Management
- Administer and configure various SaaS applications (e.g., Office 365, Salesforce, ServiceNow, etc.) to ensure optimal functionality.
- Manage subscriptions, licenses, and access for users, ensuring compliance with usage terms and policies.
- Coordinate the deployment of new SaaS platforms, overseeing implementation and user training.
- Work closely with vendors to ensure that the organization’s SaaS solutions are up to date with the latest features and security patches.
- Monitor and analyze the performance and reliability of SaaS platforms, addressing issues and optimizing usage.
User and Access Management
- Manage user access and permissions across SaaS platforms, ensuring users have the appropriate level of access based on their roles.
- Implement Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and other security measures to safeguard SaaS applications.
- Perform regular user account audits to ensure that permissions are aligned with organizational policies and compliance requirements.
- Provide support for user issues related to SaaS platforms, including login problems, account configurations, and troubleshooting.
Integration and Automation
- Manage integrations between different SaaS applications, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability across the organization’s software ecosystem.
- Automate repetitive tasks using SaaS tools and integration platforms (e.g., Zapier, Microsoft Power Automate).
- Develop and implement processes to streamline workflows and improve the overall efficiency of the SaaS applications in use.
Security and Compliance
- Ensure that all SaaS platforms comply with industry standards and organizational security policies.
- Perform regular reviews of SaaS application security settings to ensure compliance with data protection laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Work with security teams to implement best practices for data encryption, user access, and other security measures within SaaS platforms.
- Maintain and monitor backup and disaster recovery plans for critical SaaS applications.
Support and Troubleshooting
- Provide troubleshooting support for users experiencing issues with SaaS applications, escalating complex problems to third-party vendors if necessary.
- Track, manage, and resolve incidents and service requests related to SaaS platforms in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain a knowledge base of common issues and resolutions related to SaaS platforms, enabling users to find solutions independently.
Vendor Management and Relationship
- Serve as the primary point of contact for SaaS vendors and service providers.
- Collaborate with vendors to resolve technical issues, request product enhancements, or escalate service-level concerns.
- Manage vendor contracts, renewals, and service agreements to ensure favorable terms for the organization.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, new SaaS applications, and emerging technologies to recommend improvements or new solutions.
Reporting and Documentation
- Generate and maintain reports on SaaS application usage, performance, and compliance.
- Document configurations, processes, and best practices for SaaS platforms to ensure consistency and knowledge sharing.
- Provide regular updates to management on SaaS platform performance, usage, and any challenges or opportunities for improvement.
Training and Support
- Conduct user training sessions to familiarize employees with the functionality and best practices for using various SaaS tools.
- Create and maintain user guides, knowledge articles, and FAQs to support self-service among users.
- Assist with onboarding new users and configuring their SaaS accounts as needed.
Requirements - Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience:
- 2-4 years of experience administering SaaS applications.
- Strong knowledge of popular SaaS platforms such as Office 365, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Workday, or others.
- Hands-on experience with user management, configuration, and troubleshooting for cloud-based applications.
- Familiarity with SaaS integrations and automation tools (e.g., Microsoft Power Automate, Zapier, API integrations).
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in SaaS administration, including user provisioning, security settings, and license management.
- Understanding of data security, privacy, and compliance requirements for SaaS applications.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure) and their integration with SaaS applications.
- Familiarity with SSO, MFA, and other identity management tools for cloud services.
- Basic knowledge of scripting or automation tools for integration and process optimization.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Certifications (preferred):
- Certified Administrator for SaaS platforms (e.g., Salesforce Certified Administrator, Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals).
- ITIL Foundation Certification or similar IT management certification.
- Cloud-related certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals).
