Role description:

Senior BIM Manager is responsible for the implementation, management, and delivery of Digital Engineering and BIM information management. As well as in managing technical aspects of Digital Engineering production for projects or components of major projects. To apply the BIM processes and being capable of establishing and implementing a BIM Execution Plan (objectives, requirements, and conditions) and a delivery strategy in conjunction with a client and delivery team. To fulfill a senior role across the teams, providing leadership, and mentoring for Digital engineering and BIM information management. 


Role accountabilities:



  • Prepare, finalize (with regional office input), implement and own project BEPs based on best practice and Arcadis standards.

  • Promote the processes, systems, and requirements of BEPs to ensure broad understanding and compliance with the BEP.

  • Periodically review BIM processes and implementation across all sector’s projects to ensure consistency between projects and identify any issues for resolution before they affect project delivery. Where required, review and update Arcadis’ BIM processes.

  • Ensure compliance with project BEPs through the role of BIM Manager or through technical reviews. Liaise with the project teams, to ensure review of all BIM models is undertaken for the project.

  • Provide technical advice to BIM resources and to support them in their delivery of projects to ensure that the deliverables meet client expectations. Manage the performance of Digital Engineering and BIM practitioners in project teams, identifying and ensuring the resolution of any issues.

  • Assist discipline digital leads to manage the production of, and quality of Digital Engineering deliverables.

  • Provide technical Digital Engineering leadership at a sector level, liaising with equivalent resources in other countries.

  • Actively support, assist and collaborate with others in the Digital Engineering community such as the Regional Digital Engineering Lead, the Digital Engineering Leads from other sectors, BIM Managers, Design Managers and Project Managers.

  • Support Arcadis BIM leadership in implementation of Arcadis’ BIM policy.

  • Provide technical advice to team members, to support them in their delivery on the project.


Qualifications & Experience:



  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Architecture or Equivalent Courses / Technical Certification relating to BIM. Preferably 14 years of experience working with BIM on multi-discipline projects.

  • Job experience in design consulting firm is required. Overseas Experience is advantage (work in other countries or project design out-sourcing company).

  • Proficient in Microsoft Application (word, excel, outlook). Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Have the ability to define Digital Engineering outcomes and in setting up and coordinating a BIM Execution Plan for a given project.

  • Able to provide input to estimates for the engineering budget and schedule and to oversee technical resources to meet requirements on large, complex projects.
